Garda vettin report going to dept during EU3 application?

Hi guys

just need a quick question

During the process of Eu3 (Permanent Residence) card the Eu treaty right section send to request to garda for vetting report? to take decision like when people applied for long term residence dept do it?

is any one know about this?

Nothing would be surprising at this point.

But if you have already been living in Ireland for 5 years, then you automatically already have PR. The card you get is merely a confirmation of the PR that already exists. So it is hard to see what an active vetting of criminal activity will achieve.

They can still still kick somebody out if they are a very serious criminal or threat to national security. But there is a very high bar for them to prove.
