Immigration consultants fee for premium service!!!

Post by wenner » Thu Aug 02, 2012 12:11 pm

I am eligible to apply for ILR on 3rd Oct 2012.I cannot make a postal application as I have a daughter at home and I need to apply for her British Citizenship so that she can come back to UK.I know this process will take about 6 months, but I will be to able visit her in the mean time because I will have my passport to do so.So this morning I was thinking, what if I dont get a slot?I am suppose to book 6 weeks in advance, and according to a very kind moderator, I can book on 22nd of august. My case is straight foward, but I am so so scared that I wont get a slot.

From what I have seen on this board, people do struggle to get an appointment.this is why I contacted a few companies.the fees are just so so expensive! One asked for 750 pounds just to book the slot, another £1000 , and another £2161.The one that offers the slot for £750 dont even check the documents! What do i do?I will be in so much debt if I use any of these services, but at least I will be guarenteed a slot. But my ticket to south africa for christmas will be £1200.I am in a dilemma.Any suggestions?Or comments?I will appreciate it, and I also want to say thank you to every one who is able to make suggestions or share their experiences, for free, well done.It is absolutely wonderful.Thank you.

Hi

Before posting any querries on the forum it would be great if you kindly introduce your self in brief regarding your visa status and the dates when you want to apply for your ILR and the things like that.

You can book your appointment free of charge with out paiyng any penny to any Immigration consultant online but you can't book your appointment not earlier than 42 days in your 28 days period. For eg I got my WP back in Sep 2007 and I always tried at about 00:01 online on the UKBA website and trust me Thank to God I didnt paid a penny to any bloody consultant for booking an appointment for my self. I can always see my desired appoitments available but 42 days after the day I am looking for them for eg I just tried yesterday to look for some appointments for my self I didn't booked any I was trying to get a hold of an appointment at Shefield or Liverpool I saw plenty of appointments available for set(o) between 10th and 15th of September exactly 13th Sep whole day all the appointments available to book and 13th of Sep is exactly the 42nd day from 2nd of August 2012 so just keep this thing in mind you can't book an appointment for your self year in advance or six months in advance and just keep looking you'll surely get the appointments every one else is getting it so why can't you guys.

Hope fully this will answer your querry.

Good luck for your ILR.

my friend tried booking 9:00am, 9:30am and 10am in the morning and got the slot in croydon.

so try in midnight in the morning and 2-3 times a day I'm sure you will definitely get it.

Don't pay a single penny to anyone.

Thanx for the reply.
I entered Uk on working holiday visa, on 26 Feb 2006.I switch to a workpermit and it was issued 31 Oct 2007.Then I switch to Tier 2 G in August 2009.It expires 13 Oct 2012.

I was worried about the 18 days short fall. But I have emailed the UKBA settlement policy for Indefinite leave to remain to ask if I can make the appointment on 3 Oct 2012.They said as long as it is within the 28 day period, not before the 28 day period, the short fall of 18 days will be disregarded. On 3 Oct 2012 I will have been in this country in correct categories for 4 years, 11 months and 2 days. I have emailed them twice and I printed it out there responses.

I should be able to book appointment on 22nd Aug, 42 days before I am due ILR, on 3rd October.I am just anxious that I wont get one.But your response makes me feel less worried. So on midnight, 21 August, I'll see if a slot becomes availble, exactly 42 days prior 3 oct 2012.
Good luck to us!
