Tier 2 application from home country

Post by colekata » Fri Aug 03, 2012 11:47 am

My employer applied for a tier 2 sponsorship license on 27th April.

The homeoffice is saying that at present they are handling cases from March only.

My PSW visa is expiring on 18th.

It seems I need to go back to my country and wait until my employer gets the license.

Could you please let me know if there is any chance for me if I apply for tier 2 visa from my home country India?

People are saying that one doesn't have much chance while applying for tier 2 from home country as things become complicated due to capping and other process.

If you apply from outside the UK, you will not benefit from the PSW switching concessions. The job will be subject the RLMT

Tell your employer to contact home office and request urgent treatment, as your visa is expiring , your employer might be asked to provide a copy of your passport and visa for requesting urgent treatment.

Just in case if your employer dont get the licence before your visa expiry, submit your application without the cos number and write a covering letter , explaining the situation and requesting home office to hold your application till you get your COS assigned. I would recommend you to do this through a solicitor
