Tier 1 General - Separation from dependant

Post by theashleo » Mon Aug 06, 2012 1:20 pm

Hi

I would be grateful if someone can guide me on the below:

I am currently residing in UK under Tier 1 General visa which is due for renewal in September 2012. When I first applied for Tier 1, my status was ‘single’, however I was married in India during my first VISA ext. and my wife was issued Dependant VISA from Chennai consulate. Due to some circumstances the marriage than broke-down and my wife never came to UK on the issued VISA (entry clearance was never made at UK port). The divorce case is currently pending in India but now I have to extend my VISA and I am not sure if I need to mention myself as ‘married’ as per the status and if I need to make any mention of my marriage and the circumstances occurred after that?

I may not be very clear and happy to provide further info. if required. Any guidance and help is greatly appreciated.

Regards
