renew carta di soggiorno- Italy

Dear all,

Iam a family member of EEA living in Italy holding 'carta di soggiorno. Do I have to re do it when I move the house to a different province in the same Region?

In general, you don't need to re-apply for an article 10 residence card just because you change residence. However, some countries have a mandatory registration system so that they know where people live. If Italians need to register their presence, then you may be required to so so also.

In Italy when you change residence you must nofity the old and new comune / Townhall as required by the law.

Do you know maximum how long can I stay out of Italy in order to keep the validation of the permit?

Generally up to six months in any given year (it's all written in directive 2004/38/EC).

hi can you tell how longf it took the police station to issue the residence card as we are in italy as well and been to police station they told us we need to get the documents marriage certificates etc translated and legalised by italian embassdy.
can you tell us how long it took in your case to get issued the card once every thing was submitted at police station thanks
