Hello Group members,
I want to say a big thank you to the people in this group that information shared by everybody in this forum is quite extra ordinary and helped me in preparing my ILR application.
I have got my ILR approved today ( myself + 3 dependents ) @Solihull PEO. I had an initial delay of 56 days after Entry Clearnace before I first entered UK. My dates are as below:
HSMP Entry Clearance Date - 03-Sep-2007
Date of first entry in UK - 29-Oct-2007
Switched to Tier 1 General - 03-Sep-2009
Tier 1 General Expiry Date - 03-Sep-2012
I have had 68 absences abroad since I first entered UK on 29-OCT-2007.
I booked an appointment at Solihull PEO for 7th of August and my ILR was approved without any problem.
My case was pretty much straight forward except the initial delay in entry. I have been in permanent job throughout my stay in UK and I have been in the same job for past 4 years.
My overall experience of Solihull PEO is quite fantastic. I found the staff very friendly and helpful.
Here are the documents I was asked to produce ( even though I carried a bag full of documents with me ):
Filled in SET O application form
2 photographs of each applicant mentioned in the application
Original Passports
Photo copy of all passports
12 months Payslips + photocopies
12 months bank statements + photocopies
Life in UK certificate for me and my wife + photocopies
2-3 years of Council Tax Bills as proof of cohabitation + photocopies
I wasn't asked for Covering Letter, P60s, Employer Letter, or initial HSMP approval letter even though I carried everything with me. However, I suggest other people to carry all these documents because you neven know
The whole process upto biometric registration process took about 2 hours. Our appointment was fixed at 9:30 am, we reached at about 9 am. Our biometric registration was done by 11am. Then we were asked to go outside and come back after 1.5 hours to collect our approval letter and original documents that we submitted along with our application.
Again a big thanks to this forum. I will be happy to answer if anybody has any queries to me.
Kind Regards,
Vikas Agarwal
