visa for internship

If an indian national who is doing post graduation in France has got internship offer in London what visa she/he should be using for the same? Is it Tier 2(general)?

Yes, unless it falls within the government authorized exchange Tier 5 category.

I hasten to add that a Tier 2 visa for an internship is very difficult as it would have to meet all of the salary and labour market tests requirements of a Tier 2 application.
