Tier 1 Extension and dependent visa

Post by skumar1180 » Wed Aug 08, 2012 10:55 pm

Hi,
Please suggest on case by case.

1st case :
a. I got the Tier 1 from Sep 28th 2009 till Sep 28 2012.
b. From the past 4 years I was working from India and US locations.
c. March 2012 to till date I am in UK and working for the same employer since 8 years.

Now I have taken a PEO appointment for this Tier 1 extension, what documents and process I should be following. I have appointment at Cardiff PEO (UK)

2nd case (Dependent visa):
a. Once my visa renewal/ extension is successful I need to apply for dependent visa's my Spouse and Child from INDIA.
b. What documentation and process I have to follow ?

c. I applied for their general visa a month back which got rejected due to various reasons.

I was wondering is there any impact on the Tier 1 dependent visa with the rejection of UK Visitor visa ?

Thanks !
Santosh

have you checked the point calculator..are you scoring the enough points..remember you can't use uplift ratio for extension application...

Hi skumar,

I've had a similar case on the dependent visa and it was rejected for mainly one reason but they also cited the visitor visa refusal and raised questions on why visitor visa was sought.

I'd advise you to write a detailed letter as to why you applied for the visitor visa and that your intent was clear.

just write a cover letter explaining why you applied for visitor visa in first instance..

In India there is not much fuss about this..the guys there are pretty helpful...

Actually I applied the Visiting Visa thru one of my friend. While talking to Lawer at www.ukimmigrationbarristers.com/ , per them this is a issue or kind of lie I made with UK immigration. As per the lawyer I should have applied the visitor visa by own, now since I applied thru a friend there is a possibility that Tier 1 Dependent visa could be rejected.

Not sure should I go with the lawyer ?
