Domestic violence case?

Hi. I am on tier1 dependent visa & working with a company. I had disputes with my husband as he used to harrass me, did not allow me to hae access to my own bank account. I continued to do things as he threatened me to end the relation. He even threatened to beat me. As I am an Indian, I had cultural pressure to continue the relationship & do everything possible to continue the relationship. Finally, I gave up & separated & started living with a friend's family. My dependent visa is expiring in October, 2012. If I go back to India, he will get divorce in my absence. Moreover, I do not have any financial support if I lose my job here. If I file a case of domestic violence, I do not have the evidence to prove that. Any suggestion? Any chances to get my visa extended?

Yes you sure can apply for extension... how it all can take place, you need advice of a lawyer or solicitor, as already been said in this thread by senior... if you want I can also provide you with a good solicitor's contact details, he has already helped out few of my own well known people (women) suffering through domestic torment...
