This looks like a standard email response.

What was you appliction ( 5+1 years etc) and what do you want now?

Did you try to call them in the meantime?

(
aprilclub, my application 2 years + 1 year ILR(BC spouse) and sent on 5-03-12 by post which was received on 6-03-12 and I also received the acknowledgement on 14-03-12
I have seen applications getting approved in < 3 months, so here on this forum somebody suggested me that it is a big time so its better to try to contact them and try to get the update on your case. so for this reason I tried to contact them, on Monday I will complete my 5 months out of 6 months.
I did not try to call them yet, tomorrow I am planning to call them send them a letter by fax and by post.
so I am looking for opinions if this is ok to contact them or shall I wait and complete my 6 months of time.
thanks

Not exactly sure what should be done; but if I were you, I would call them and ask for the passport back, since its more than 3 months. See the point 1 of the email.

Their response would then give you an idea of how they are thinking.

At the same time, I would try to figure out how to reach out to the local MP, and maybe have a chat with him. Once 6 months has passed, I would try to get him to write a letter.
