Acknowledgement letter received but payment not taken ( SOS)

Post by shoe09 » Fri Aug 10, 2012 6:24 pm

My application form for ILR was received by UKBA on the 18th of July, 2012 and the acknowledgment letter was date 3rd of August, 2012 but UKBA has not taken the payment from my account as at this evening.

My visa will be expiring on the 18th of August, 2012 ( next Saturday), my solicitor advice that we should send in a new application form next week so as to avoid any problem should in case there is a problem with the payment. I am confused as all my supporting documents are with the initial application and they haven’t taken the money.

My enquiry is:

1) Do UKBA send acknowledgment letter before taken the payment?
2) Do I send in a new application form using bank draft as advised by the solicitor?
3) What can I do please

I need your help please!

Many thanks all your help

Your solicitor seems like a dim person. He is giving you cowboyish advice.

Why would there be a problem in payment?

You need to do nothing, apart from waiting for the outcome of application.
