Different SOC in COS and Letter issued by Employer

Post by Gemini_Leo » Sat Aug 11, 2012 12:07 pm

Dear Friends,

I have ILR appointment in two days and below is my query -

I came here on Workpermit in Sep 2007
Transferred to Tier ICT in December 2010 and has valid Visa till
December 2012.

I am applying for ILR and preparing all documents. While doing so I got a letter issued by employer indicating am still continuing on same title for which COS was issued and appropriate SOC code confirmed by employer as per UKBA published codes of practice. I am also fulfilling minimum salary criteria comfortably which is confirmed in employer's letter.

I recently come to know that SOC code e.g. A in letter issued by employer is different than mentioned in COS e.g. B, however i fulfil the minimum salary criteria for both SOC code.

I have now below queries -
Will my application rejected ?

Jobtitle for which COS was issued is not exists under SOC code mentioned in COS, however it exists in SOC code given in employer letter. So how can this happen ?
On asking on the same to employer they have confirmed that as long as letter issued by us has recent soc code and title it doesn't matter what was in COS ?
I came in UK on WP on a different role and then promoted against which tier 2 COS was issued. do we need to filfil minimum salary criteria for both visas ?

Quick reply on similary experiences would be appreciated. I am confused now.
