Indian visa application while waiting for OCI card

Hi everyone

I had applied for the OCI card last month with acknowledgement done on the 10th of July at HCI London in person. However, to date the status online comes back as being processed.
I need to travel to India towards the end of Aug, so am thinking of applying for a visa

Has anyone applied for a visa through VFS global in person while waiting for an OCI card?
In how many days was it granted?

i have not yet received the OCI, had applied for visa and have got it
the HCI says that there is a technical fault with my application though the application itself is fine,
they say quite a few people are in the same boat and we should get the oci soon but no timelines given...

Thanks. Applying in person for the visa at VFS, how much time did it take to have the passport delivererd back to you, thanks

hi everyone
just an update
i had written letters to the high commissioner, first and second secretaries in the HCI, and finally yesterday, on chekcing online the status changed to granted, so hurrah!! victory..
i think u need to get on top on things here, keep writing letters to them and hopefully work will be done!!
