bringing family member to stay with me

Post by funky30 » Mon Aug 13, 2012 11:26 am

hi guys,
i am currently on tier 2 general and want to bring my mom to stay with me to look after our child,

is there a way that she can come apart from visitor visa which allows her upto 6 month in a year?
I am happy to sponser her and pay all expenses

she is retired and i remember seeing a visa category for retired people which do not allow them to work but stay here and support themself on their own fund

please advise

Many thanks

No you cannot sponsor your mother. The retired persons of independent means category closed some time ago.
