Does biometric invitation letter mean all ok in application?

Post by aravindb4u » Mon Aug 13, 2012 1:57 pm

Hi,

I have a suspicion that is giving me a nightmare now.
I am not sure whether I have filled in dates in the application forms before posting.
I was also worried about the photo I have sent. Though it was taken in Jessops it had light shadow behind my ear. I double-checked this with Post office staffs who do checks for passport applications and they said the photos are ok. I have taken two more sets of photos in photo booth and they were equally bad. So I sent the Jessops photos.

Now, if I receive my Biometric invitation letter, does that mean

1) I have filled everything correctly in my application form?
2) My photos are correct according to the guidance and will be accepted?

Any replies much appreciated.

Thanks

Dont worry, bullet is out of barrel you can pray and wait, as no one can tell the internal process how they check the application.

if post office is saying pics are fine then what is the problem

might be all ok, might be a query.

hope for the best and plan for worst.

It's only once the UKBA receive an applicants biometric details, that they will start considering the application. So in effect its the first step, i.e. after taking the application fee payment. This is because they won't proceed any further with the application if an issue is highlighted in the biometrics.

The time taken for them to reach an individual application will vary depending on the volume of cases they have. So you can expect to hear from them anytime after you have enrolled your biometric details; either for further information if something is unclear or, supporting documents if any are missing or, directly with the outcome if they have all that is necessary to make a decision.

Now you need to patient and wait to see which one applies to you. They will contact you in either of the above cases.

Is my application correctly filled if I receive a biometric invitation letter?

Many thanks
As cs95tdg have suggested, Bio-meteric is the first check. Once everything comes clear in your Bio-meteric than everything else will be checked.

I read it in the photo guidance that your photographs will be checked with the one that is captured in the Bio-meteric so with regards to photographs, I would only worry if there is a major facial changes from the time you have taken them and the time you got snapped for biometeric.

I think you are worried about the shadow behind your ear. Let me tell you friend, Its only a problem if some shadow is on your face and hence, certian faicial features are unrecognisable. That is what was mentioned in the photo guidance. So relax. Your photos should be fine.
