Naturalisation + Registration question

Post by t1seeker » Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:25 pm

Hi all

I applied for naturalisation (using form AN) for me and my wife + Registration for my 2yr old daughter (as we got ILR after she was born, using form MN1).

We applied through NCS on 11th May 2012 and received approval letters for me and my wife 3 weeks ago (so reasonably quick turnaround).

I have following questions

1) Strangely I received one approval letter for me but 2 nearly identical letters for my wife. I say nearly identical as the font and formatting of wife's two letters are different => they both were not printed using the same proforma. So 3 different posts but all on the same day. Does it mean anything? Isn't it odd to receive two slightly different letters? Has anyone else experienced the same or am I just being paranoid.

2) Though we all applied together I still have not received approval letter / certificate for my daughter. So I am a bit worried why is this taking so long, especially as mine and wife's applications were approved 3 weeks ago and we received our letters. Is there a way for me to find out the status of my daughter's application from UKBA. I tried calling their helpline but the automatic voice says if you have applied within last 6 months then hang up as they will be unable to give any information. Is there a number where I can speak to a human?

Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Call them again and as for an update. Ignore the 6 months announcement. I would have thought the MN1 application would have been approved by now.
