TIER 1 GENERAL EXTENSION - IN PERSON! URGENTLY PLEASE!

Some agencies told me that the earliest time to extend tier 1 general in person is 3 months before the current visa expire date. if I submit within 3 months before the expire date, the extension will be granted to fulfill the 5 years period in total. If I apply earlier than 3 months before the expire date, the extension date will be the date of application + 2years, and there will be a shortfall to fulfill 5 years period to apply settlement in the future.

Can I ask is this information correct? Has anyone applied in person within 3 months before the current visa expire date? was is granted to fulfill 5 years period in total?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no consistency on this issue. Some people are fortunate to apply and the case worker grants the visa from expiry date, while others get it from the date of approval. It is more or less down to the case worker's discretion and there is no guarantee that the time you apply impacts the visa start date.
