Hi Guys - if this is the right forum to ask this. But thought I will have an answer.
If someone hands over the resignation/notice and then is not required to come to office. Company keeps on paying the salary for the next 3 months (notice period = 3 months). Now, during this 3 months, can he/she join another company and have dual earning.
Obviously, since the first employer will send P45 at the end of 3 months, so, the person will be under emergency tax for the period he will be employed till he/she hands over the P45 of his/her previous employer.
But from HMRC and immigration law perspective, is it legal to work for another company when you are still receiving the pay from your previous company or it is purely illegal?
Thanks,
