HSMP Approved - Different Job Later

If I am approved for my HSMP for an IT position (fairly confident that I will be approved), what happens when it comes time to renew/apply for permanent residency and I am now operating a pub/hotel which has nothing to do with IT? Essentially my plan is to buy/lease a pub/b&b as soon as we enter the country.

Essentially my question is; does anyone have any experience with obtaining an HSMP and then changing careers/jobs and being allowed to continue with the immigration program?

FYI, I am a US citizen with a green card holding Filipino wife.
