Extension of UK ICT Tier 2 Short Term Visa

Hi,

I got my VISA issued on 31st October 2011 and it expires on 31st October 2012.

I entered UK on 21st April 2012. And hence I will be in UK for about a 6 months by 31st October 2012. But the ICT-Tier 2 Short Term VISA allows a person to stay in UK for 12 months.

Am I eligible to get an extension in the same category? Or I will have to return back to my home country to serve a cooling period of 12months before I come back to UK.?

You cannot extend ICT short term visa, You need to go your home country and apply after 12 months.

The only exception is if, after returning home, you obtain a new CoS from your company in the T2 ICT Long Term Staff category - then you are exempted from the 12 month cooling-off period.

My question was more related to the VISA start date and entry in UK. So if my VISA starts from October 2011 but I arrived in UK in April 2012, am I eligible for an extension till April 2013?

Hi All

I also have the same question. I am on short term ICT I want to extend my visa

My VISA is going to be expired in April 2013 i,e another 6 months

1.Can I change job during this time

2. If I want to extend my Visa do I need to go back to India or can i apply from UK only .

3. What are the criteria should I need to meet inorder to extend my visa

Did you got answer? Could you find a way so that ICT short term can be extended or u can switch to ICT long term while you are in UK itself?
