counsil housing rejected

Hi All,

We went to the council today regarding the housing and we were given a negative reply , whyy??? because they said that we do realize that your friend cannot accommodate you further in his home but the problem is before coming to london you were living in a rented accommodation in germany, and you left that accommodation for the pourpose of coming to london, we are not concerned with how much you were earning in germany , the point is why did you leave the house intentionally in germany without making proper arragements for yourself in london , the landlord in germany was not evicting you so its your fault and we call it as intentional homelessness. Thats why we cannot offer you a council housing but you can take housing benefits for a privately rented property,

, do you think that this point is valid as i did show them my payslips of 460 euro / month and the rented house was 500 euro / month, but they still dont care,,,can we file a case for the housing or should i go for rental housing benefits what do you suggest????

Well you do seem to have voluntarily made yourself homeless and are now placing that burden on the UK public.

The ruling is the same for all. Council housing is allocated on a points system and the fact that you left a home of your own choice and are now asking to be housed by the council will go against you. I would accept the payment for private rental and look for something you can afford.
I wonder what the situation would have been if you were applying in the same circumstances in your home country. Regrettably, we still have people sleeping on the streets in the UK.
