Question about Internship/Traineeship in Denmark

Post by DirectMaster » Sun Aug 19, 2012 2:44 pm

Good day!

Can you help me with advice:

Currently I am citizen and resident of Russian Federation. After school graduation I was accepted to my local hometown university on "Applied Mathematics and Information Technologies" major. However, due to hard financial situation of my family, I was forced to interrupt my studies before the end of the sophomore year (it has passed more than 2 years since then). Of course I wasn't satisfied with this and immediately started to plan how to continue education. I set an ambitious goal: to get into one of the top US colleges. I have spent these years improving my application: two years of work experience in IT-sphere, additional technician and english courses, international certifications (Microsoft, Oracle, etc.), international volunteer movement experience... Now, I have a great desire to add to this list an international work experience (internship or traineeship, what better suits for this?). I have found one danish company, which doesn't mind to take me as paid intern. But we don't know about visa question here.

I want to ask about your opinion: Is it possible in my situation to get visa and work permit for mid-term (6-12 months) internship/traineeship? Does Danish laws allow this?

I will be very gratefull for your help here...
