Tier 2 holder and Business owner

Post by briannguyen » Mon Aug 20, 2012 1:51 pm

Hi all,

I understand that as a Tier 2 visa holder I cannot to work other than the sponsored job.

My question is if I rent/open/buy a shop/small business then hire someone to do management and not register as self employed, will it be illegal?

If I just rent the property, pay tax and register for my men, is there any way UKBA can track my business activities while I'm applying for permanent visa which will happen next year?

Thanks
Brian

As long as you are not employed or self-employed by the entity (unless it's in a category of work at the same scope and level of your sponsored employment and is less than 20 hours) you can have own whatever business interests you wish.
