Newborn Baby Parents on Tier 1 Registration Online or Form

Post by tier1check » Mon Aug 20, 2012 8:52 pm

Hi,

I am on Tier1 and we wanted to register our new born baby in Indian High Commission. i am bit confused which form is required for registration. I am planning to apply in person.

At http://www.hcilondon.in/counslateservice1.php it says you must apply online. At the same time it has provided form at http://www.hcilondon.in/child.php

Friends which i spoke with didn't fill online form. Anybody has any idea whether there are any rules change and which form is appropriate?

I think they have recently stared online process. My friends' also used the form on the site (not online form) to register child.
But if you go through the text it says you must apply online.
"For a child born in the UK to be registered as an Indian citizen the application must be made online. "
if you are going in person. I would recommend fill up both forms just incase.

I have noticed that in required document it's listed:
" v) A declaration that the minor child does not hold the passport of any other country."
Any of my friends didn't submit this.
Have you come across this? Is this declaration from parents?
Let me know you experience. I would need to do same in a month time:)
