Spousal visa wait time

Post by shark5 » Tue Aug 21, 2012 12:16 pm

I made an application for FLR(M) six months ago from a fiance visa. I did my biometrics on the 21st of March and haven't heard anything from the home office since then. I just spoke to someone at the contact centre and they said the application is not completed and I have to continue to wait. I asked how long and he said there is no timescale and that he can't give me any more information. He also said that if your application is not completed in 4 weeks after your biometrics there's no time limit for when an application can be completed. Just want to know if anyone in a similar situation has any different information or any advice

Six months is a long time given that you were pre-screened for settlement outside the UK when you were granted a fiancee visa. Apart from the fact that you are now legally married (and provided evidence of this) do you think anything about your circumstances has changed or altered that might warrant further enquiries and a long delay?

Absolutely nothing that is what's frustrating because it is so straight forward considering I already went through this in Canada. They would even be able to check their records to know how legitimate the relationship is by the number of times I have visited England over the last few years. Apparently there's a back log... :s
