Withdrawal of application

Is it possible to withdraw dependents visa application (not main applicants). It has been long wait(8 weeks) for the Tier 2 visa. I couldnt start my employment and also dont have a place to stay (Cant rent as the agency asked for work permit). Considering withdrawal. I dont want to be at the mercy of UKBA.I should say very poor service for UK standards.
