Refusal eea permit and appeal : need help

Post by Juliesarah » Tue Aug 21, 2012 2:53 pm

Hello

We received a refusal for an EEA family permit for which we applied to travel one week in the UK.

We provide document :
- bank statements for both of us, plus certificates of assets.
- original of my working contacts
- original of my payslips for the last 5 months (before mars I was living and working in China)
- copy of a bill to prove my address
- original and copy of my family book
- and a copy of my passport

I forgot the copy of our booking for the hotel was in the first demand

The reason of the refusal is :

You have applied for an EEA family permit ont the basis of your relationship to your spouse. Whilst I note that you have provided a copy of your spouses's French passport and your original family book, the copy of your spouse's identity card is not a certified copy. I am therefore not satisfied that you have provided satisfactory evidence that you are the family member of an EEA national in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Immigration Regulations 2006.

My husband wants to appeal, how long it gonna take?
I had to cancel all our tickets and booking for the trip, and I am quite annoyed because I have the feeling the ECO refused to force us to appeal and in this case we have to pay for the appeal even if the EEA family permit is fee free.

Does other people have been in the same situation or quite similar, I am really frustated about that.

Thank for your reply

Julie Sarah

Why not consider making another application by ensuring you provide the correct documents as stated in refusal notice ?
