Self employed

Last time when I got my tier 1 general first time for my previous earnings I showed self employment . My tax return was broken in to two periods 1st period i paid the full tax and 2nd period I did amend the tax pay since there was a loss . Paid just the amended tax and closed my self employed account.

CAN I know for next tier 1 extension can I open a new self employed account and prove my previous earnings . Will they just check only last 12 months or initial application also the?

advise please
