Dealing with an error/appealing restriction

Post by bcyoung » Fri Aug 24, 2012 3:25 am

My husband and I have just applied to renew our visas (Tier 2 and Tier 2 dependent). I work as a doctor in training, and have done since before the restrictions began to be applied to new visas from working as a doctor in training.

With our application I supplied the required letter from my deanery confirming I had been employed in a training post during my previous period of leave to remain.

Today my BRP arrived marked 'work restriction - no doctor dentist training'. I see a number of members have posted to the boards having had this happen (but not saying how it was resolved). I have immediately emailed the BRP error address and they state they will respond within 5 working days.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Was it fixed?

If it's not a simple error, can anyone advise me how I can go about appealing this? I very clearly fall within their guidance as one who should not be restricted, so I will pursue any legal course I can as swiftly as possible.

Many thanks for any advice.
