general help

Post by moorhs » Fri Aug 24, 2012 6:40 am

1) I was looking to submit an online application for a workin visa in the uk, but confused as to which one would best suit me.

I'm 24, living in Australia. I have an electrical trade and want to do various work in the uk. I read the following on the visa site:

"Tier 1 of the points-based system - for investors, entrepreneurs, exceptionally talented people and recent graduates of UK universities

Tier 2 of the points-based system - for skilled workers who have been offered a permanent job

Tier 5 of the points-based system - for temporary workers with a job offer, and participants in the Youth mobility scheme

domestic worker in a private household

representative of an overseas business"

I've been told I may be eligible for the youth mobility scheme, but no one can give me a sure answer.

2) with a uk visa am I permitted to work in Ireland? or is that an entirely separate visa I'll be needing?

3) also, with reguards to the law, I was arrested about 2 years ago for an offence, but never received a conviction at all, I was curious as to how this would affect my application and if I would need to bring evidence or something with my application?

thank you for any help.

Ignore the other post; it's spam. You should look at Tier 5 YMS

On question 2 - you'll need a separate visa.
