You would need to provide 6 payslips min, showing an income of atleast £18600,must not have gaps in any of the months provided.

If the income level meets the set requirements of £18,600 there is no requirement for savings.

If there is a shortfall, the you need to show savings in the following manner:

£16,000 + (2.5 X shortfall amount)

Hope this helps.

If he's earning at least £18,600 a year he doesn't need savings, as Harv has explained.

Apart from this earning requirement, Is there a maintenance fund requirement as well for spouse of settled persons? or a certain amount that should be showing as available at the time of application?

No, if you meet the earnings requirement you do not have to show any savings.
