passport renewal (mothers name single letter mistake on old)

hi friends ,

my passport is getting expired this month,i have valid visa untill 2013 april ,but the thing is my mother name on old passport got printed with a single letter mistake ,it printed "RAVI" instead of "RANI" ,in the new application when i submit, do i need to provide any additional documents for rectifying this,mistake


please let me know.
