Confusion about Section 2

Post by shanee420 » Tue Aug 28, 2012 9:43 pm

I am going to register my kid under Section 1(3).

I see that people have been giving wrong answers regarding filling out Section 2.

The guide clearly states :

2.1 For an application in respect of a child who was born abroad and who is now living
in the UK or a British overseas territory, please say when they first arrived.

So how does it apply for a child who is born in the UK.
I have seen people saying to put child's DOB and place of birth.
So the whole of Section 2 doesnt really apply to Section 1(3)

Off course it doesnt hurt filling it in, but the question is is it really needed ?

Please let me know if I have understood it wrongly

Thanks

I believe the very same question, verbatim, has been previously asked:

Yes, you should put the date of birth or indicate that your child is born in the UK. Just fill in the other details under section 2 as applicable.
