UK entry 3 days before Tier 1 expiry

Post by vikasbirla » Thu Aug 30, 2012 8:56 pm

Hi

My visa (along with 2 dependents) is expiring on 9 Nov 2012, and I have to travel out of UK

I am coming back on 5 Nov 2012.

1. Can there be any problem at the immigration while entering as my visa will be valid only for 3 more days ?

2. And can I apply the visa for all three of us by post on 6th or 7th Nov after reaching here ?

Thanks
Vikas

There is no problem as long as your visa is valid. But i have seen some officers at heathrow, they sometime do ask questions to check and verify.

So be prepared for questions, try to have some evidence with you that you are going to apply as soon as you leave airport, Your few months salary slips should be fine. Why your travelling was necessary due to xyz reason, incase if they ask. So just be careful and thats it.

i had a smiliar experience, they did ask a lot of questions, luckily i have all the documents and form with me (mainly payslip n bank statment) to show that i am going to apply the visa right after i get home. It took a while but they let me in at the end.

Can you please list down some of the questions which they asked. And what all should I be prepared for ?

Thanks
