Help Regarding Question C9

i am bit confused about question C9 which states that
C9- HAS THE APPLICANT BEEN ISSUED WITH A BIOMETRIC RESIDENT PERMIT WITH PREVIOUS APPLICATION FOR LEAVE.

I am on PSW visa and it has a sticker on it rather then a BPR card. However when i switched to PSW i did have a BPR card which i sent along with other documents to UKBA . My question is do i have to answer this particular question with a yes or no as i currently don not hold any BPR card and i did return my old card to UKBA when i applied for PSW . Help would be deeply appreciated.

No. If you don't have one then just say NO.

You answer yes because you were issued a BRP with a previous application for leave. X
t then confirm the BRP was returned to ukba where indicated.

Well i did answer it with no because it says with previous application which in my case is stamped on my passport. However i did attach a cover letter explaining that it was returned/ Held by UKBA on approval of my psw visa.
Fingers crossed lets see ....UKBA maintain a complete record so i guess thats not a big problem question itself creates confusion which UKBA needs to clear.
