Tier 1 G - onsite in India - Can I apply from India ?

I am working for a UK based company and am working onsite since May. Wanted to know if I can send the application for extension from India ? Most likely no i guess, since the biometrics cannot happen from here.

Problem is I cannot go to the UK for more than a month due to project deadlines, and as it looks now - its taking atleast 10-12 weeks to process and the passport will be blocked.

Can someone throw some light ?

Here are the answers in short,
You can not apply for extension from outside the UK.
The quickest option to get an extension is to get an in person appointment and go for the same day premium service. However, there is no guarantee you will get it on the same day. It might even take months.
