HELP PLEASE !

Post by joella68 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:26 am

hi i am new here and in need of help as i am struggling to find the info i need.
i am a female uk citizen and i have an egyptian partner, i wish to invite him here on a general visitors visa.
my situation is not good though ............ am a private tennant, i have had to give up work due to 2 major spinal surgeries in the last year and i also have a disabled child, so basically i now rely on benefits to live.
i do not want to be rushed into marriage in order to allow him into the uk as i want this to be an opportunity to be together in my normal surroudings rather that the romance of being beside a pool !
from what i can gather i need to sponser his stay here, but it also states that must not support him from public funds ( which i totally undersatnd ) i have small savings of £1800.

is this an impossible mission ?
i am going to cairo this week with the intention of starting the visa process, but ii am not feeling confient about this at all.

PLEASE IS ANYONE ABLE TO HELP AND ADVISE ????
thanks in anticpation :D

For a visit visa, you would only need to sponsor him if he required your sponsorship (but for accommodation only a letter from you saying he is staying in your house is sufficient). If he has his own financial resources he does not need your help or sanction to visit the UK. Does he have his own funds or will he need to rely on money provided by you?

hi, and thanks for your reply,
well sadly the work situaton in egypt is awful right now, so he is not working, so i would be supporting him finacially, therefore im worried that i am reliant on benefits myself and surely this would be seen as him gaining public funds ?

Then it's unlikely his application will be approved.
