Tier 1 gen - 2nd extn.

Post by Tier1extn001 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 12:20 pm

Hello all,

I am currently working as a contractor thru. my LTD. company and earning on a per day basis.Very new to this sort of employment as I got my 1st renewal thru a full time job where i could show my salary slip etc. and without any hassles of having an accountant etc.

Can anyone guide me what all docs I should maintain now on so that I have everything in place before I go for ext sometime next year, the overall earning points will be the gross income that my company makes or will it be the salary & div that I would take out of the overall income from the company?

Thanks

about your question on income you will have to use dividend and salary that your company will pay you...

thanks for your reply. So I think for a visa applicant it is wise to work as PAYE or thru an umbrella company where you can claim on the overall that is being paid to you by the client - i.e perday rate* # of working days rather than Ltd. as one cannot show the overall turnover that a company makes thru oneself.Any advice or suggestion? thanks

Instead of paying oneself salary and dividend on a monthly basis, is it possible to pay to personal saving account in one lumpsum after paying tax and ni in one fiscal year? Could there be any issues in doing so wrt to visa application?

its not advisable to do that....as UKBA will treat this with suspicion
