Post by vkbairi » Sun Sep 02, 2012 7:26 pm

Dear Concern,

one of My frnds is currently in UK (Tier 4) studying in post graduation in College (not in Uni). She has already brought her dependent (child). her course almost finished.

Now she wants to do BA (Hons) from University under Tier 4 to extend visa.
will she able to extend her dependent's visa too? ??

I want to know is BA hons allow her to bring dependent?? I suppose to bring dependent need Lever 7!! :-O

Please advice!

Thanks.

This is what I found in UKBA published PBS dependents visa guidance:

The main applicant must be studying a course of study that is 12 months or more at a recognised body or a UK HEI at post-graduate level.

See here:

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... ts/family/

There are exceptions to the postgraduate rule if the dependent is already here.

Thanks... alot for answering.

from the link understand ' if the dependent already in UK with permission, and if the applicant want to extend for any course (even in college NOT in UNI) more then 6 months, UKBA will extend dependent visa as well !!!

if I am wrong please advice !!

Another query I would like to ask that if I have done my post graduation diploma in UK already, can I go back to under graduation ??

thanks again for your comment.

regards.

Hello,

If one of my frnds Has done PGD ( 18months coures), planning to do Masters (one year) then want to do ACCA ( that would take more 3 years)!!

My question is would my frnd be able to continue extending Tier -4 visa... which exceed 5 years study in Tier -4 !!

Would be glad for the suggestion!

Best regards,
