ILR Query - Work Permit / TIER 2 (IC) / TIER 2 (General)

Hi,

I complete my 5 years in the UK this year. I have held the following visas in the past 5 years -

2007 - 2009 : Work Permit ; Salary - 35K ; Employer A
2009 - 2010 : Tier 2 (IC) ; Salary - 38K ; Employer A
2010 - 2012 : Tier 2 (General) ; Salary - 50K ; Employer B

I have the following questions -

1) Am I eligible for ILR given the new rules on settlement regarding Salary Requirements and other specifics?

2) My Wife has been in the UK with me for 2 years but did take a break of 7 months during her pregnancy. Is it a problem if I apply for her ILR along with mine?

3) Once I have got my ILR, am I allowed to work or change employment immediately given that I have taken company sponsored work permit route to ILR?
