Tier 1 Ext: Salary deposit in multiple account

Post by jatinuk » Tue Sep 04, 2012 10:55 am

Hi
I have a barclays saving & current accounts.
Out of 12 months,my first 3 months salary is deposited in Saving account
& the later 9 months is in Current account

Q1. How to mention this in the t1-general-form, when I am claiming points for total earning (J1), having salary deposited in two different accounts

Q2. Also I have online statement, is it fine to take print out of them, I think i need to attest them, but Bank guys are saying that we can attest only that which we have printed in the bank & they print only in (Black & white), so B&W attested are fine, please confirm

Please help

Q1 -> You need to put original bank statements for both accounts (Saving as well as Current account) and clearly mention it in the letter.

Q2 -> Why don't you order original bank statement posted to you? It generally takes only 2-3 days. Otherwise the bank statements should be on official dictionary of the bank (don't let them take it on plain paper) and should contain all the details.

Putting excerpts from Tier1 guidance :

Personal bank statements showing the
payments made to the applicant: Bank
statements provided must be on offi cial
bank stationery, and must show each of
the payments that the applicant is claiming.
If the applicant wishes to submit electronic
bank statements from an online account
he/ she should also provide a supporting
letter from the bank on company headed
paper confi rming that the documents
are authentic. Alternatively an electronic
bank statement bearing the offi cial stamp
of the bank issuing the statements will
be accepted. This stamp must appear
on every page of the statement. For
the purposes of this guidance an online
bank account is one that operates solely
over the internet and sends their bank
statements to their customers electronically
(for example over the internet or via email).

Personal bank or building society
statements covering a consecutive 90 day
period: The most recent statement must be
dated no more than one calendar month
before the date of application.
The personal bank or building society
statements should clearly show:
• the applicant’s name;
• the account number;
• the date of the statement;
• the fi nancial institution’s name and logo;
• any transactions during the 90 day
period;
• that there are enough funds present in
the account (the balance must always be at
least £800) covering the 90 day period before
the date of application;
All statements must be on the bank’s stationery, unless the applicant is submitting
electronic statements.
Ad hoc bank statements printed on the
bank’s letterhead/stationery are admissible as
evidence (this excludes mini-statements from
cash points).
If the applicant wishes to submit electronic
bank statements from an online account these
must contain all of the details listed above.
In addition, the applicant will need to provide
either:
• a supporting letter from his/her bank,
on company headed paper, confi rming the
authenticity of the statements; or
• an electronic bank statement bearing
the offi cial stamp of the bank in question will
be accepted. This stamp should appear on
every page of the statement

Actually I was registered for online statement from internet banking
I asked Barclays for sending me all the statement for last 1 year, they charge me 5 pound for it too, & when I receive the statment in my postal they are like black & white photocopies taken on plain paper, when I ask them I need it on bank stationary, they told we can only provide photocopy

Then I visited the branch they told me they can give me black & white printouts of my online statements printed & stamp at their local branch.
I told them over the phone to give me original like statement, but they are saying its generated only once, what a bummer

But when I told them I need it for visa purpose, they told me that they are fine

Thanks for you clarification, I will try to stamp them on original stationary if possible
