No acknowledgment letter recieved after 1 month

Hi,

I just wanted to know if anyone has had the situation of having no acknowledgement letter more than 1 month after application

Method of Application: Solicitor
Date of Application: 20th of July 2012
Date of Cashing Cheque: 27th of July 2012
Since then nothing

I am a bit concerned, I phoned my solicitor and he says he will chase this week as a month after applicaiton without acknowledgment letter is not too good.
