Hi,
I am a single mother of a 15 yr old boy. I am a permanent resident (have an ILR) in the UK. My son has been in living with my mum in India and I want to bring him to the UK to be with me. I applied for his settlement Visa in India and received refusal with reasons being lack of evidence for my son's accomodation in the UK as I have not provided tenancy or mortgage documents with his application. I have been given right to appeal within 28 days from the decision date (1/09/2012).
I need the experts advise on
1. I live with my fiance in his 3 bedroom house. The house is owned by him. Do I need to submit a letter from him stating he is happy for my son to live with us in his house? Do we need to provide the house mortgage document?
2.Is it better to engage a solicitor for the appeal?
I would really appreciate any advise you can provide me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
