If you are already in the UK as a partner with a view to settlement, and wish to extend your leave in that same category, you will continue to be treated under the previous rules. However, you can't apply for FLR(M) without having passed an approved English test.UKhack wrote:

I have not taken the life in the uk test, don't you need to have been in the country for 5 years. Besides we need to translate our wedding certificate as we were married in JapanGreenie wrote:Why are you talking about applying for further limited leave and not ilr? if you were issued a 27 month spouse visa in 2010 then you only need to complete 2 years before being able to apply for ilr as you are subject to the pre 9th July rules.UKhack wrote:I have not taken the life in the uk test, don't you need to have been in the country for 5 years.
