Want to apply.. but very confused..

Post by sonyaadnan » Wed Sep 05, 2012 11:03 pm

Hello everyone..

im very much confused and i hope you guys can help me.. I completed my mba in hrm from pakistan in 2011 and i wanted to go to uk for further studies. My husband visits uk every year on sports visitor visa from a cricket club. My husband wanted me to visit him in the uk first and look out for universities and then go back home(pak) and apply for student visa. But unfortunately me and my two kids were rejected and were asked to apply. the reason they gave were not having sufficient funds (although the club was sponsoring us and were providing accommodation n airfare).. anyways we got rejected and lodged an appeal against the decision in august. I received a letter from them that they have sent my appeal to the embassy and embassy has time till 2nd nov to overturn their decision otherwise it will be presented before judge in the uk afterwards..

Anyways I applied for a few universities in the uk (univ of leeds, hertfordshire, dundee etc) and i got an offer from them. My questions are..

1. Can i apply for student visa(tier4) with my dependents when i and my kids have appeal pending? or should i wait for the decision to come.. ?

2. what are the chances of success if i get admission in a top ranked public univ and pay my full fee?

3. Or do u guys think i should apply for me and my kids only and my husband keeps on getting his sports visitor visa..?

please help me out.. im so so much confused..

thanks and regards,
Sonia

1. Yes you can make an application concurrent with an appeal
2. Nobody can say as it depends on your circumstances. It's a points-based application and if you have the points you get the visa.
3. If your kids qualify then so will your partner. You will have to decide what is best.
