Tier 1 Extn -Employed/SelfEmployed - Solihull experience.

Post by Yuwaraj » Thu Sep 06, 2012 4:22 pm

Hi,

I have a personal appointment at the SOLIHULL office for my visa extension. I have a salaried as well as a self employed income.

4 days before my scheduled appointment I got a call from the UK Border Agency saying that if I have salaried and self employed income they will not give decision on same day and will send my file to the Sheffield office and a decision will be reached in 2 weeks.

Is it normal for UKBA to call people before their appointment? And if they are unable to process on same day why are they issuing appointments?

Has anyone come across such a situation. Any advice or similar experiences will be helpful.
