Transit Visa for Ireland

Post by l_allad » Sat Sep 08, 2012 8:22 am

I'm an Indian citizen staying in Belfast,Northern Ireland on valid UK Tier-1 Visa.
Do I need a transit Visa for Ireland, If I wish to travel from Dublin(Ireland) to Hyderabad(India) and return from Hyderabad(India) to Dublin(Ireland) within a span of 10 days.
I travel by bus between Dublin n Belfast.

Can anyone pls guide me.

Wrong question. Transit visa only applies if you are arriving and leaving from the same port, so for instance flying into Dublin airport and then flying out again within a few hours.

What I do wonder is whether you can enter Ireland by land from NI in order to fly out. That might be covered by the CTA. BUT: flying back from India without a visa for Ireland may be the problem. That most likely is not covered by the CTA.
