Hi,
I'm an Australian who was on a 2 year tier 5 youth mobility visa. When this expired, I had hoped to go to Ireland on their working holiday visa, and had it approved, but just didn't have the visa with me when I entered Ireland (just a letter saying it had been approved and was ready for collection blah blah), and the lady at Dublin airport only gave me a 3 day stamp as I had a bus ticked booked back to London to pick up the visa (and as an Australian I assumed I was entitled to enter as a non visa national). I then stayed in the UK with my girlfriend, before leaving to go to Sweden on a holiday.
When I re-entered the UK from Sweden, I told the lady at immigration our intentions (to travel Engand for a months, to spend a month for the Edinburgh fringe and then spend few weeks travelling Scotland) before I returned to Australia. My ticket is booked for October 6, and I re-entered the UK on June 25.
The stamp she gave me looks exactly like the ones I used to get when returning to the UK on my Youth mobility visa - it just says the date and where I entered. There isn't anything about no recourse to public funds or whatever like other tourist visas I'd had in the past.
Is this going to be a problem when I leave the UK on October 6th? Do they even check my passport when I leave? Im leaving from Heathrow terminal 3, and I don't plan on coming back to the UK for work, to live etc.
