Post by Sophia911 » Sat Sep 08, 2012 4:56 pm

Ok i have been married three and half years. I am a british born citizen and got married to my husband who is fro, pakistn. I called him here two years ago and hewas granted his visa on fifth of december 2010 and he flew he on 28th 2012.i am applying for his ilr. I am struggling a little with dicuments.

They say we need 6 in total. I have my own bank statements from jauary 2011 and join bank account statements from may. He has his mobile phone statements sisnce last 3 months.

Tv licence is on his name

Letter from nhs with his name.

Hm customs letter in my name.

The only thing in joint name is the bank statments. Thers about 33 sheets in total for the last year n half. Shall i send them all?

They are all addressed to the same address we have been livingat for the last two years. Do i ahave to give anything more in my name?

When do you intend to apply am asking this because he must have completed 2 years here before you submit his set(m) thats one thing, try to give as much evidence of living together as possible if you can not produce the standard required 6 joint named and addressed letters.

Electoral Registration,Tv Licence,Bank statements,Letters from Bank,P60s,Payslips,tenenacy agreements, water bills, council tax statements,NHS letters, his medical card,Basically anything which shows you and your hubby's name and address would be really helpful to convince the immigration officer that both of you lived together and intend to do so in the future as well.

By the way any online purchase invoices and receipts would be helpful too as long as they show the requisites(name and address of both of you)
Which is it of the favors of your lord that ye deny.

The two years will be up on 28th december 2012, this is the day he entered the uk. He got his visa on the 4th december.

It only asks for 6 documents, from 3 different sources. So, would two bank statements, 1 tv licence bill, his contract mobile phone bill be ok?

Or do i need to send more? I have more documents .i.e. in my name.

Should i send photos of us in the uk after being married within the last two years.

Thing is, the application fee is a lot and i dont want it to get rejected simply because i did not send enough documentation as proof.

I have payslips from work, however, he does not as he worked in a take away.

The evidence of cohabitation must be evenly spread over the two years so just two bank statements on his name,a tv licence and mobile phone contract just WONT be enough and also you need to send letters showing your name and address too as tv licence and phone bills only show his name and address but doesnt show your name on these documents and these docs showing only your hubby's details do not demonstrate that you have been living with him too during these two years.

Basically send all his documents showing same address as yours and send documents showing your name and same address as your hubby's and you will fine but again send as much stuff as possible to avoid any complications.

If you do not have enough docs on joint names then send as much stuff as possible on individual names as long as they are showing the same address and make sure you send documents from your side too as i have said before only a joint bank statement and two pieces of letters from your hubby will NOT be enough.

They don't need your marriage photos just the letters for two years and obviously all other necessary docs.
It only asks for 6 documents, from 3 different sources.
That is JOINTLY addressed documents so if you cant produce these 6 then you have to send the ones with individual names but same address.
