Child's PBS dependant from Pakistan

Hi,

I just wants to know if anyone has been through with the similar issue before, I have a friend who has a Son born in June this year and he is on Work Permit therefore he needs to apply for the child's visa under PBS dependant before he can travel. Hence I would like to know if any of you have ever applied from Pakistan as they can go there but cannot return without baby's visa. Also how long will it take from Pakistan? What documents does he require if he is applying from there?
